Just a few pictures from the type of work i do, lemme know what you guys think.
Pretty much step-by-step pictures of how the job progressed (ignore the dates on the pictures for the camera sucks and am too lazy to change date every time i put in new batteries.
This is where we dug all the holes for the posts, total of 7 posts each holes at minimum of 42" deep.
This is the Ledger for the deck, it is flashed behind and bolted into the main house joist.
Since all the holes are dug up and the ledger is flashed/bolted to the house, the outer framework for the main deck beam and side joists can begin.
With the beam/joist framework done, next step is to prepare the post castings.
With the posts casting put in and concrete poured, the rest of the deck framing can continue.
Now that the framework/decking is all done it is not time to move onto the roof framework.
Same deal with when starting the deck, the ledger for the roof is flashed and bolted to the house.
Normally the steps are done immediately after the decking is done but can be done at any time.
For a few days i forgot to take pictures but no biggie. The rafters are all put in place, the plywood is attached to the rafters and the roofing underlayment is put on.
The roofing is done(3 layers since it was such low pitch roof(underlayment, roll roofing and shingles to match the rest of the house) The railings are put on as well.
The soffit is put in, this wasn't really needed since for the time being they wanted to leave the rafters exposed instead of putting a ceiling but it still makes it look nice from far away.
The copper flashing for around the chimney is very important, if done improperly could cause leaks and eventually the rotting of the ledger, rafters and the whole structure to become compromised. but me and my brother are professionals so we know what we're doing
That is all the pictures for now, the job isn't 100% finished yet, it just needs the gutters and a lil bit of trim painting.
