I always loved the Demon Days album as a kid, but only because of like two songs. Turns out the very last two tracks ultimately became my favorites a decade later once I listened to them. They bleed into each other seamlessly, and the 4 minute mark in the below vid is probably when millions of fans adopted the same mindset.

This game (Prey) was sick. I've beaten it three times now. Amazing story and concept. This song plays right at the beginning and it is straight up beautiful.

Fallen in love with this band as of the last month. Its like rock mixed with jazz, alternative, with an orchestra under all of it.
Here's three songs from their Terraformer album that are amazing. I'll even drop timestamps for what I consider the best part of each one if you wanna just get hooked, ya know, immediately.
Swarm - almost exactly 1 minute in.
-----------
FXMLDR (Fox Mulder) - 6:05
-----------
Everyday Ghosts - Basically 6:40 till the end of the song, my personal favorite on the whole album.

I'm also a bit of a blues fan. Do you know who is a very under-rated bluesman? Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits...

The HU, no not The Who? but the Hu. Mongolian kick ass rock dudes.
They sing with traditional mongolian guttural lyrics and instruments. Something different i found pretty damn cool.

If you like The Hu, then you should also check out Tengger Cavalry, another band that combines traditional mongolian music and singing with western metal.
Anyway, what I've been listening to lately? I've been on an extreme Devin Townsend binge.
Another band that I've been listening lately is Jinjer.
And yes, that is her actual voice.
