Its time for me to move onto a better occasional gaming machine. It will be a 2009 or 2010 Apple Mac Pro. I know all of you say why mac? Well I like the stability on the Apple OS system platform with a limited amount of games. But I will be saving up money for an Xbox One too as I already have a Wii that I got for the kids. I will still however play Cod/UO still and support the server. What are your guys newer cpu or possible console??

I ended up getting a late 2013 iMac 27", 3.4 GHZ (intel i5, Quad Core) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048 MB graphics card, OS 10.8.5. Yeah, its not a PC, but at least I won't have any over heating issues. Thank you tax refund!

LOL. Apple has always kept their component manufactures under watch. That is why they are a selected "niche" market with terms of an "operating system". Apple doesn't want to deal with third party parts when their customers complain of their computer not working. Can you find a PC user tell you that their 2000 year machine is still working with the same default parts? I doubt it. I can bring my 2000 mac out of storage and it will still boot up flawlessly. Plus Macs are a different operating system just like Linux.
If Apple is so bad of a company why would their stock be worth over $350 per share. Is Microsoft share that high?
Apple computers do different things, such as video editing, music midi stuff, etc. For programming, game porting, they aren't so good at it. PC's are a different operating systems, choose what fits you best but Apple Computer isn't going away. Try one and see what it does for you, perhaps you won't find any viruses that you have to deal with.

Thank you Apple, welcome to 30 years old. You are still developing awesome products even on the more expensive side but your niche is what causing the brand to stick with over 30 year and growing.

Well toggle to be honest I have to agree with you about generic parts on PCS, but that issue only come from pre made PCS.

The thing is I dont buy whole PCS for example from Dell, or something like that.

I always custom build my PCS. Custom building a PC is very easy and you can get yourself educated on how to do it in literally a good 2 hours.

Unless you are buying a a laptop or a business power PC for graphics designer I usually say it is a bad idea to buy a whole PC.

Of course there is always the fact where you really need the Mac OS for some software you work with that is only available for that OS... but I find that is very rare..

I have been custom building my PCS for quite a while and I have yet to have one break on me, I get rid of them only because they are no longer powerful enough for software these days. My brothers also custom build and they have the same results.

Btw, Microsoft does not develop PC parts, they only deal with the windows software, and I guess a few things here and there.

Thats true about Microsoft not developing PC parts. They just do software.

BTW, I'm loving the 2 gb Nvidia GTX 775 !!
