I'm curious how you did the Windows XP to Windows 7 "upgrade". We rarely ever run an upgrade because they simply cause too many compatibility issues later on. The Microsoft Windows Upgrade Advisor is essential in testing your current client PRIOR to any upgrade. Neglecting to can result in these kinds of issues; especially when new architecture (cards, HD, etc.) are introduced to the system. You can research what else may correct this, but a new installation may save you a lot of headaches.

Not sure what you are asking Moon. I did this (win7) a couple years ago. I recall running the Upgrade Advisor, and as I recall following steps for (legally) upgrading XP to Win7; there were specific steps to take when updrading from XP opposed to Vista or whatever. It's been running fine.
Since adding the SSD and VC, it's been running everything fine except COD. Most important to me is that my Adobe software and Nikon software is running smoothly. I cloned using the software Lipton suggested. That ran fine. The provided Samsung sftwr didn't - I had read it doesn't always play nice.
Maybe after Christmas when I have time I will spend more time tweaking COD and maybe re-install some newer games Otter used to play to see how it all works.
The SSD is incredibly fast btw. Well worth the money.
Thanks for the help, and Merry Christmas.
