i know there aren't many sports fans here but I just got in from church and seen the news about Joe Paterno dying so I figured I'd post a thread about it. He's my favorite all-time college coach and is by far the most respected man in college football, regardless of what happened a few months ago. RIP Joe Paterno: 1926-2012  |

I too just found out after church today about Coach Paterno. Sad to see Joe pass on so close to his leaving Penn State. I guess that is how it goes for these old guys, they retire and then pass away cause they don't have anything to keep them going.

I didn't go to church today but I did also found it today actually just now here in the forum.
the R.I.P stuff I don't get it.
To the people who go to heaven I do believe they are not resting if anything having the best time of their lives.

In honor of the passing of Joe Paterno Penn State is encouraging all youngsters to wear their pants at half-mast.
