This is a fair warning to all.

I will start enforcing this rule, to EVERYONE. no more letting shit slide all day anymore. H is a clean clan in every way shape and form. I shut down hacks on the spot with evidence, otherwise players wont be harassed just because they are good, PERIOD.

tired of a certain clan coming in here and trying to spread rumors that H allows its own members to hack. It wont even be warning, I will add the names manually to the ban list. Learn some manners please, its just a game.

Truth is there are about 4 players I just can't stand to play with. Not because of anything other than they are just so good it kills the game(One of them I am for sure isn't 100% legit). And I don't honestly think everyone here is hack free. Wall hacks are so easy to hide and I would be willing to say a few people are using them. However with a game so old I also understand we/you have to deal with some of it otherwise servers would be dead. I'm sure I will be told I am wrong, Just like I was about others I won't name any names (but proven to be right about) but like I said at this point with UO, can't really be super picky.

Here at H we have no tolerance for hacks, cheats, exploits, or any unfair advantage, they will all be banned. Thank you for your concern.

Hey all, normally I'm so good about avoiding these sorts of conversations, but, I'll drop my 2 cents (story time):


First, Fric, you know I've always been completely with you about the harassment during gameplay, and you are plenty generous about that, imho. In newer COD's it is all just up to Steam, so there is really no point in bickering in-game, unless you just are in it for a verbal altercation (which is allowed and fine)..



That said, second, MustaMissed, I feel your sentiment - especially because I still fondly recall the days long before anyone thought to call me a hax and it all just went the other way - (eg. it wasn't until a year or two of cod5 on ps3 that I finally could drive tanks at all - like back in UO either). It is things like this that helped demonstrate, to me, some fundamental life lessons:

1. People will always find ways to take advantage of anything, it was like that on day one of CODMP back in 2003. It's like that in every other aspect of life at well.
2. People will always lie about it. Naturally ..
*I like RL chess bc it is dang near impossible to get away with something.
3. Nobody is forcing you (or me) to do anything. If I don't like something, or if what I wished to happen - isn't happening, then I just have to leave. There are many other fish in the sea...
4. Computer game experiences are not governed by legal statutes (aka it's a Wild West style free for all) - you just have to come in and get some of whatever it is you want, however you want to get it - it's completely up to you...

And not to sound like some wise ole geezer or anything..but, I'm lucky I was 18 in 2003, BAM fresh from HS, and I have learned some wisdom from maturing as a man along aside COD (*even if, in every new one, there is still always a fresh batch of annoying middleschoolers to badger me into nearly timewarping back to some horrible schoolyard antics). By now, I've got a 'grown-up' analogy that may help illustrate how the sort of thing we're talking about is present in something you still should play anyway.

It's like COD but for big f'n $$$$$ ! And the parable is along the lines of the classic stock market saying: For every seller there is a buyer (and vice versa), with an emphasis on not knowing who you are trading with..

I like to basically think of it as: in every options trade, somebody blew it. (but who?)

This is basically how markets go, and it's totally fine. One person makes money and another loses it based on their good or bad decisions, but.. You just never know who you're trading against. Ideally, I would only be picking on nubs who are just tossing trust fund money into anything that they can!, but more likely, it's some professional specialist working at a world class institution, and I have no chance from the get go.
I can't really tell (all things being equal) who's who (this is akin to never knowing if people are hacking or not in COD), but, if I feel like I am making the prudent and educated decision, I will make the trade - and I've made some good ones, probably against professionals more than amateurs (like myself). I can't not trade because I don't know the background of the anonymous counter-party - that is basically by design.

So, one just has to jump in and play, and do their best, knowing the game involves risk (or in the case of COD = cheaters). As long as they are prudent in investing, it works out just fine (or in COD words - enjoy the game you are playing, as it is, while being realistic about what that game is, and it will be fun)

Now, who has some good insider tips!?@ JK JK JK - I no cheat, at anything. And ..unlike some games, cheating at others is a federal crime!
*EDIT: I totally breezed by the massive list of other similarities in the analogy, mostly along the lines of somebody has to be #1, I have pc and excel, big banks have supercomputers, etc, etc....big list..

Hey, I hope this story was somewhat interesting at least.. Maybe next time we can have a campfire and talk about old-timey COD /UO memories!?

PS. 5. There is always that annoying middle-schooler hopped up on god-knows-what ...grrrr (but what, what do you do !? ...nothing... he's 12. Tell on him? lol)

This always comes up every once in while. I will just copy paste to this post. Here I ban anyone who hacks cheats or exploits. If I catch dcptn or xen hacking it is a ban.

If you think they somehow have an advantage on you whether it's configs, hack, cheats, exploits it's because:

1. Upgrade your PC. It helps, some still use year 2000 PC.

2. You are just not as good, learn your limits and try to improve.

3. Upgrade your internet, if you live in south america, tough luck, sorry can't help you there.

Last, those who know me, they know I don't let hacks go. I punish all hacks cheats exploits no matter who it is. Ask any admin, they know there is no favoritism, but there is some softness, deal with it.

It is easy to ban a trouble maker, there is no skill to it. Seriously, I can install b3 bot, auto ban / kick swear words. Ban any instance of team kill. Spamming? No prob, 1 or 2 kicks and it's a ban. The hard part is to restrain yourself and not be corrupted by admin powers, as I have seen many times.


There has been some here who take advantage of my fairness. I defend them from former corrupt admins, and now they acting like dicks. But it's all good. I still treat all fair, even if they do the worst such as backstabbing me. Here I'm all about fairness.

Take the advice from sumguy. Join and play. Don't take the game too serious, if I say someone is clean then he is clean.

I have seen people with that lame "ban him or I leave" attitude lately. It's a real puss move and I'll never bow down to it. I'll never listen to any threat to preserve my integrity.
