Hey everyone, I finally have gotten around to finishing this two base version of that desert base map. It's pretty much the same except the Allied side is backed up some with the addition of the second base in back, and the Allied spawns are moved back, which may make it more balanced. We will see if Fric puts it up for a test or something - (lemme know). Or if you get a chance to try it, especially the spawn stuff, please let me know what you think. z_kass04b.pk3 (7.3MB Dropbox) in game map-name is: kass04b. There are 4 tanks per side. Here are a few pics:

I've rename it into kass04b.pk3 (must match to .bsd name to load) : if an admin wanna load kass04b , it's on the server ^^ If you download it from previous post, rename it removing the z_ to work.

Hey, awesome! Thanks for checking it out - and I really appreciate those suggestions.
*Particularly that file/naming issue, I had no idea, but, now I know.. And it (the z_) has something to do with me messing up naming anyway, an issue which should be fully resolved come final version (and naming scheme).
Definitely on the jeeps, (those are my favorite part of UO anyway), I just wasn't sure how big or small it would seem. Any thoughts - 2,3,more+ per team?
The G2 thing is a concern I had...for a couple of reasons (*the scarier one I won't share but it has to do with graphics and the sun and mountain eek).. But that was the one area I 'expanded' the map a little - just to find a place for G2 at all. Does anyone have any thoughts on where that thing should go? An idea is further into the desert/riverbed, but it gets too far from the 'middle' German spawn - but, that could get moved (if it is too far in the first place). *This would require widening part of the map and might cause some graphics/portal fixes which I have a mind to do anyway but , I haven't gotten it to work yet... Another would be to open the town up a bit more on that side so there is more access..(etc)
I appreciate any ideas anyone might have (about anything). I am just winging this~ I will have jeeps in there asap, but might not get around to seeing about that G2 until this weekend.. *I need to see this thing in action for myself too !

Map is not so big, 1 or 2 jeep per side ? Tunnels could be fun (big enough to drive jeep in them ?)

I'll have to see about the tunnel thing... maybe not 'historically realistic', it would be fun.. ! And I'm into all that stuff D4, I could def get you a max-jeep version rigged up. I did throw down a fair number zooks and stuff, *and added a few more too.. (currently 20 zooks, 1 faust, and 15 satchels) I did get a chance to work on a few things which may be good - first was the jeeps, I ended up with 3 per team.. ? It seems like a lot, but I couldn't find an even placement w/o just doing one at each base and one in the middle.. It's worth a try, and if its too many - easy fix. Thankfully I fixed the sky as far as I could find. *I did have to shrink portals, though I did add a bunch, hopefully the FPS holds up okay.. I did add a few more obstacles to try to add more cover and let people get closer, though, just keep to the middle!
Oh! And something erking me was the slope in front of A2, its less steep now, whew, no more falling... *There is something to the tunnel idea (jeep size or not), and some final touch style- random foxholes (/terrain drops) being able to let people move around the map easier while out of rifle fire.. It was really great playing the map a couple of times on your server !! I appreciate it a ton, and the input I got from people is great. This is really the only way to test gameplay and spawns etc - *the spawns could use some improvement I feel like.. And now is the time, while I'm at it - please share any other ideas/suggestions/anything you have *especially if you didn't like it - I'd like to hear why and see if it can't be fixed - that might be the crucial piece~ Thanks again, sumguy
