Thx

Did it shut down properly the last time you used it? I had that happen once cos when it starts up again it offers you the option to do a clean start. If you don't notice, and just click OK, thats what happens. And you have to put all your settings back in.

Hi Fenrir, Thx for the quick reply. I think I closed it in normal order last night. And did not get the option for a clean start or start in safe mode or anything like that. I have to put the corect settings back in and thats not a problem but I was just wondering what happend. Really no idea. Maybe a virus but then again I have a proper antivirusprogram.

Dooooooope 😅
Sometimes when you join modded server, the mods destroy your cfg.
Tip 1: just join the one and only server 😅 Tip 2: copy your confg_mp.cfg on an extra folder ( mine is saved on NAS - so its save for my whole life 😂)

PussCCCCCC Ofcourse I have not been on a other server! So thats not what happened. But thx a lot for tip 2. Playing now with the new settings feels different. All the little tweaking I did for the old settings seemed to make a difference, even for an average player!

Like Fenrir said, if your cod crashes or something else happens when you close it, next time you open cod it will ask if you would like to use default configs. If you press yes there's probably nothing you can do.
And like PussC said, if you join modded server it could make you new config file, but far as I know it only use that cfg in that server. But seems like there's something else going on in your situation.
You could search config_mp in your cod folder and see if there's multiple files and check if anyone of those are your originals. Or maybe check your config singleplayer file, if you had made same changes in there and copy those.
