Anybody interested in these processors ? Toggle I think this things been out for 2 years now. some of the i7 can be overclocked at 4.5ghz at turbo mode. the 84 watts is the only new thing to me that I can see. The processors aren't the problem it's the fact that no game or programs uses all this power. I have a quadcore and I get almost the same FPS when I used to have a core 2 duo. Saying that the i7 has a better layout then the amd x8. Even though AMD is more powerful in reality the i7 format is more compatible to use more processes at once then the AMD is and that's do to the windows and game settings in the end. In the end it's windows settings that they won't allow because of lazyness to set the computer windows system to use more processors and detect them as well when 2 of them are running over a percentage amount such maybe 50 percent. Some games which are few like the devil may cry does uses all 4 proccesors because of the design of that game. I think it's also WOW that will allow you to use 8 cores with AMD by going into the config files to change how many cores to use when playing the game. It's getting alittle better but all of this can be fixed if windows OS could design it not just to be able to run the OS but also to it's full potential. In coduo a core 2 duo 3.0ghz will run about 400-700 FPS in a small map. a quadcore 2.4 which is what I got will run the exact same thing if not less(which is what I got) that's why I have to overclock my cores so I can get 400-1000(wawa) FPS.

I also forgot to say. When you see a chart such as AMD vs Intel most of them are full of crap. Yes the charts are true but it almost never uses the full power of the system. If the game and or program also windows would use the actual full power of an AMD it would beat intel in a split second. Soon I hope this problem will be fixed. So far there is no game that I can't run with my 2.4ghz quadcore. If you see steam in my screenshots shows the graphics that I get on black ops which are very good I think. the i7 it's the only step closer to this issue. Once this is fix AMD will have a big boost like never before. BTW there are programs which are not many that do use the all the cores. Again this could all be fixed by windows with a simple update. Til then intel has the upper hand. I won't spent money on a new processor 1st they are not made in the USA and I really hate giving my money to china and yet asking why there are not jobs in the USA(facking hypocrites). 2nd getting 50 more FPS in a game just to make chinese military even stronger I'm sure I can wait.
