I need a video software where I can actually set the fade in/ fade out at 5 seconds before the video is over. adobe elements is ok but won't register all the sounds that are out there for the videos such as mp4/avi/Mpeg4 it's ok but takes too long to do something with it. and you can't edit the fade in/out as I would love for it to be. fade in / fade out = dim the image into black also including the sound as well. Thanks if any of you know for any very very easy to use software please let me know. something you have actually use not search on the net. Thank you

I can positively tell you that you can do it with adobe premiere pro. Don't know where you'll get this program though since its very very expensive, but you can get one on pirate bay by the guy named thethinggy. 5.5 version is very good. You can costumize the fade any way your heart desires.
Dump the premiere elements, I've been using it thinking its the best thing, but there are so many things that suck, premiere pro is ALOT better and the damn timeline doesn't shift when you delete a piece of footage in the video or even move it. that was my most aggravating thing about it.

Takes too long for what I want to do and the resolution is not perfect. when you put a video in it always has either black left over screen on the sides of top and bottom and I read online and so far there is no answer to get rid or them. I have a video that's 608x256. When I do that for those two programs the video shows in the middle surrounded by black screen.

Then you would most likely want to install Roxio Easy Media Creator; I have version 8 if you want it. Send me a PM and I can send you a CD of the program.

loveless, take a screenshot and show us what the problem is, I understand what you are saying but can't fully get why you cant just expand your video to fit the screen. You probably select the wrong presets when you start up the adobe. you can also make a costum present just for your video size and it will make the screen that way. Go on youtube and do a little digging and you'll find the answer.
also show the screenshot

hi there moon. I downloaded Roxio and I don't know if you can tell me how to fade a video including the sound along with it? I got the program but it's like learning how to use it all over again. I have to search the internet for just fade I don't know how to finish the video. the video doesn't fade it's just goes into dark once it's over.
If anyone out there knows if a program that will fade the video and sound 5 seconds(or custom) before the video is over with out messing with the original width and height of the video please let me know. It's kind of urgent and every day passes by I'm losing alot of time and it's keeping me on hold on a 3000 dollar project. Thank folks.

I am almost sure you can do the same thing in Premiere Elements one as well.

Thanks port but that's not the issue here. here is the screenshot once I'm done with the video. the black gap that is left on top and bottom of the video. I can't get rid of it. I read online it's almost impossible unless if their video matches what they offer only. Fade in/out works perfect. but finalizing the video is not. It's something simple that I need done. I need to do this for about 3000 videos so a software that will take a long time will destroy me. Roxio didn't even had that fade in/out effect which they do but it's after the video not on the video it self. Here is the gap that I was talking about. I need a program that will do both. fade with out messing with the original resolution of the video. The black gap you see which is marked is part of the video not of the media player. Thanks I hope that helps. Attachments:

It appears the problem is regarding screen ratio (a.k.a. screen format). I'm not sure if this imported piece was already in 16:9 mode or not, but you can usually specify output in regards to this formatting.
